Oliver Beretta
| Olivier Beretta is the winningest driver in
ALMS history with 28 career victories. A resident
of Monaco, Beretta brings international fl air and
incredible speed to Corvette Racing. He holds
the record for most ALMS career poles (18).
Beretta has won the ALMS championship in
the top GT class four times – the last two with
Oliver Gavin. He’s a fi ve-time class winner in the
24 Hours of Le Mans, and tests Formula 1 cars
for teams and manufacturers. |
Ron Fellows
| Ron Fellows is a charter member of the championship-winning Corvette Racing team. He did the initial testing and development with the Corvette C5-R, and scored Corvette Racing’s first ALMS victory in September 2000 at Texas Motor Speedway. Fellows is recognized as one of North America’s most versatile road racing drivers; winning in series that span the spectrum of motorsports, from NASCAR to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. |
Oliver Gavin
| With his rich accent and polished manners,
Ollie Gavin may be the quintessential
Englishman, but he adapted quickly to racing in
America. A native of Cambridgeshire, England,
Gavin won multiple championships in British
open-wheel formula cars before scoring his fi rst
victory with Corvette Racing in the 24 Hours
of Le Mans in 2002. He became a full-season
Corvette driver in 2003, and won back-to-back
championships with Beretta in 2005-06. Gavin
stays in shape for racing by running marathons. |
Jan Magnussen
| Jan Magnussen is a sports superstar in
his native Denmark after winning races and
championships in everything from single
seaters to touring cars. He played a key role
in Corvette’s championship seasons in 2005-
06, teaming with Oliver Gavin and Olivier
Beretta in endurance events. The trio won the
GT1 class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans three
consecutive years. In 2007, he’s running the
full ALMS schedule with O’Connell in the No. 3
Compuware Corvette C6.R. |
Johnny O'Connell
| Fast, funny, and fearless, red-haired Johnny
O’Connell is as quick with a quip as he is with
a race car. Born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., this
transplanted Yankee now lives in Georgia. He
began his career in open-wheel cars, but he
found a home at Corvette Racing. O’Connell
has the most starts in ALMS history (73) and
has tallied a total of 25 career victories. He
shared the ALMS drivers championship with
Ron Fellows in 2003-04. |
Max Papis
| Max Papis brings excitement and Italian style
to the American Le Mans Series. A native of
Como, Italy, Papis now resides in Miami. This
versatile driver has found success in both sports
car and single-seater competition. He is the third
driver for Corvette Racing’s No. 4 Compuware
Corvette C6.R in long-distance events, teamed
with Gavin and Beretta. In addition to his racing
career, Papis runs his own sports marketing
company and keeps active with an intense
physical fi tness program. |
