Pratt Miller Defense received the Best Technology Demonstration award at GVSETS (Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering & Technology Symposium) for showcasing their digital twin technology. Built from the company’s Core Lab (Combat Operation Research Laboratory), the system bridges the gap between virtual and physical environments, taking multiple assets (platforms and systems) created in the virtual space and connecting them to their real-world counterparts.

For the demonstration, the team presented a battle station with multiple screens and an operator wearing a HoloLens headset, virtually controlling a robotic platform with a remote weapon system at the Big Sandy Test Center in Arizona. This virtual setup was linked to a physical, scaled-down version of a remote weapon station at the event, giving military personnel and industry leaders a first-hand look at how multiple assets can be seamlessly operated in a virtual environment and connected to real-world systems.

Yes, the technology is complex, but like everything our team develops, it’s awesome and it will transform the battlefield and save lives.
